How to use this calculator
- Find the appliance power in kW (or convert: 2000 W = 2.0 kW).
- Enter a typical runtime per use (hours).
- Enter your electricity price per kWh from your bill/tariff.
- Add uses per week to estimate monthly and yearly cost.
Notes
Many appliances do not draw full power continuously during a cycle. For better accuracy, use an energy meter or the appliance’s kWh-per-cycle specification.
Your utility bill or online account usually shows a per-kWh energy rate. Include taxes/fees if they scale with kWh.
Divide by 1000. Example: 1800 W = 1.8 kW.
Cycle power varies over time, and tariffs may include fixed charges or time-of-use pricing.
